Applying for Reimbursement
Eligibility
Provider eligibility for reimbursement
Funding via reimbursement is available to providers that meet all of this criteria:
- Providers must be pre-approved by ESSF
- Claims should be no more than £500 per client, per application
Basic eligibility criteria for your clients
- Applicant is a resident of Essex
- Applicant is aged 16 or over
- Applicant is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse (within 12 months)
- Applicants are receiving support from a local commissioned domestic support provider
These are basic criteria but we will consider all applications. If you have any questions regarding eligibility please contact us to discuss.
How to apply for Reimbursement
- Log in to ESSF Website
- Click the "Apply for Reimbursement Form" button
- Confirm that you are eligible
- Enter the password below to access the form
- Fill out the form
- Upload the necessary spreadsheets
- Upload the invoices/receipts
- Upon completion, you are directed to a 'Thank you' page
- An email will be sent to you which confirms receipt of the form. Check you spam folder if you do not receive it.
ESSF will endeavour to respond to the application for reimbursement within 2 working days.
- You will be notified by email of the claim decision and the next steps so please check your spam folder and add ESSF to your 'safe senders' list.
If the claim is approved/part-approved
- If the application is approved or part-approved, you will be notified by email. The ESSF will endeavour to make the reimbursement payment within 14 working days.
If the ESSF need more information
- If the ESSF need more information to process the application, you will receive an email advising you what is required. You will be asked to email the additional information to apply@essexsafestart.org and the application process will continue via email rather than through the ESSF website.
If the application is denied
- If the application is denied, ESSF will notify you by email and offer a reason why it did not meet the criteria this time. You can contact the ESSF to discuss the claim. More details will be in the email.
